n_Bryan posted some pictures of an experimental CES signal generator on Flickr. Ok, so first off, what is a CES signal? Well, basically it is shock therapy. Sure, these shocks are barely perceptable, and at high frequency. Hardly what you’ve seen in horror flicks, but shock therapy just the same. Some studies have shown that CES, or Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation, can increase patient’s seratonin levels and beta-endorphin levels immediately after use. I don’t really know what that means, but the FDA thinks it is good!
You can find a little more detail
as well as schematics on the Flickr page. Just remember that it could be dangerous to go stimulating yourself with electricity.
